Baking With Lily

Lily came over today and while she was here we baked peanut butter cookies. The easiest peanut butter cookies in the world. 1 c peanut butter. 1 c sugar. 1 egg. Mix and bake. I was introduced to this recipe when I went gluten free years ago. Normally you'd put some sort of chocolate in the center of these cookies as they finish baking, and that's good too, but today we just ate them plain. The girls did really good sharing as they added ingredients and took turns stirring. And then their favorite....scooping the dough onto the baking sheets.

Berry Picking

We went strawberry picking today! Friends from the neighborhood met up at this berry farm and we picked as many as our backs would allow us. :)  Audrey and Allie helped me find strawberries while Ava slept contently in her car seat in the stroller. All we could find were little tiny berries so it took a lot to fill up a pail, and they didn't last long once they came home either! We love strawberries and fresh strawberries are the best.  

This was Audrey's pail. She said, "Mom! Look at how many I have!"
