Toothpaste
So I had to call the Poison Control Center again this past week. This time Audrey ate her new bubble gum flavored Princess toothpaste. Half a tube to be exact. (Last time, she ate a poisonous plant we'd been given when she was born). I had sent her upstairs to go to bed and told her I'd be right behind her. Apparently I took too long because before I could get up there she came bringing the toothpaste to me with the pink paste smeared all around her mouth. It was obvious she'd been eating it. I immediately called the PCC and they told me to have her drink milk and to watch her for vomiting. Vomit she did and no, it didn't smell like bubble gum! I did not get a picture of this event, as I was too concerned about her well being and too busy cleaning up the aftermath. Fear not, though, the event will be ingrained in my mind forever.
Who wore it best?

Allie, 6 weeks, Jan 30, 2010
As they do in People or US magazine, I can't remember which, welcome to this edition of Who Wore it Best. Both 6 weeks old, Audrey and Allie are sporting a pink track suit from Baby Gap. When I looked back at Audrey's picture, I couldn't believe that she was indeed 6 weeks too when the picture was taken. In Audrey's defense, her picture was taken at night, indoor with a flash, so it's naturally more unflattering. I personally don't think they look anything alike.

Cooking with Mommy
On Friday morning Audrey and I made a cake. I should admit, as a new mom of 2 it was a mix. Thank God for Betty Crocker's Gluten free line! We needed frosting to go with our yellow cake, so we whipped up some chocolate frosting. Audrey liked licking the beaters and went in for more as you can see! The girl likes chocolate, and that, she gets honestly!

My new maid
Big Sister, Little Sister
Audrey is a great big sister to Allie. She likes to help burp her, feed her and get her dressed. She's been known to read her books and even sing to her when she's upset. It's super cute, and interesting, since Audrey doesn't talk in sentences yet. Here are some pictures of them together in the last few weeks.
Allie 6 weeks
Allie at 6 weeks
1. Eating around 4-5 oz of breast milk per serving and still snacking some in between.
2. Taking a good nap in the morning and the afternoon and sleeping (usually) 6 hours at night.
3. smiling! oh sometimes she has perfect timing and it cracks me up!
4. wearing 3-6 month clothes; I'm guessing she's around 12.5-14 pounds at this point.
5. she's starting to coo and almost laugh at times
6. she has amazing head control and has a very strong kick--ask her Daddy about that! :)
My Life as of Late.....
1. Rocking a baby to sleep on my shoulder while vacuuming the floor.
2. Cold coffee, because I can't seem to ever finish the cup while it's hot.
3. Code Yellow: what my husband refers to as poop that has exploded out of the diaper. This happens EVERY time he holds Allie.
4. Sore ta ta's.
6. sleepless nights. I gave in and started caffeine again last Thursday. I hate coming off the caffeine high but it sure makes it easier to get through the day...
7. weight that has decided to visit my mid section and never leave. i still look pregnant and I'm still in maternity clothes.
8. constant laundry. She's less than 20 pounds and she can fill up a laundry basket faster than the rest of us combined.

My first blog attemp
So this is my first blogging attempt. As a new mom of 2 girls, I need an outlet. I will use this blog to inform, record memories for my girls and I'm sure, sometimes, vent. I have no time to take a shower these days so updating it once a week will be a miracle. I will however, give this a whirl.
