Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Jeremy was explaining this to Audrey. I said, "we should do something..." he said, "go get ice cream." Later at the supper table Jeremy asked Audrey what the Summer Solstice meant. She replied "I get ice cream!" So, we started a family tradition of getting ice cream every year on the longest day of the year.
Can't think of a better ritual!! Now you'll need a family custom for the Fall equinox! Grandma S.
