We tried this last year and it didn't go so well. Not the cookies, the running. Audrey hated it.
This year, so far she seemed to like it, despite the potty dance she was doing before the race. She really had to go, but didn't have time before her age group ran. She might have if we'd parked a little closer. It took us 15 minutes to walk from our car to the track. Note to self, we will park somewhere else next week and not follow the crowd of minivans.
This is not my favorite event; it's a claustrophobic nightmare. 800 kids, 1600 parents with cameras all trying to get to the same place. However, it's quite the social affair. I couldn't turn around without running into someone that we know. It seems everyone in town brings their kids to this weekly event.
It's only $1 per week to run/per kid. And they have fun. Where else would we go on a Friday night for $2?

We used to go to the Fun Runs with Andy and Ellie. I thought it was great fun and so good for the kids! Keep up the good work! Gram
