Monday the 13th (day four of being home from the hospital) was my last day with all day help. My mom came and helped me take Audrey to school and then Ava and I visited the lactation consultant after her weight check. She gained back her birth weight and more! Yeah! She weighed 8 lbs when she was born. She weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz today. She had gained half a pound in three days. Probably because she ate every hour and a half the day before! Mommy has good milk! The nurse encouraged me to continue breastfeeding even though it was painful. I'm confident she had no idea how severe it was. She told me to watch out for mastitis. Um, check. And continue to smother on the lanolin. Um, check check.
